When AI answers, be the source.

People no longer just search — they ask. The answer to "Can you recommend an agency that builds corporate websites?" is no longer a list of links but a few sentences written by AI with a handful of sources. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) aims to have your brand appear in those answers, described accurately and cited as a source.

There's no magic trick, but there is a right way to do it. Your site has to explain who you are, what you do and why you're trustworthy in a way that machines can read easily too. We build that at the level of code, content and structured data.

In short

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the work of getting a brand cited as a source in generative answers such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI overviews. Mallow Studio does it with answer-first content, Schema.org data, llms.txt and consistent brand information.

  • Content that answers the question in the first sentence
  • Organisation and services defined with Schema.org
  • llms.txt and a structure open to AI crawlers
  • Consistent brand information across the web

Written to be quoted

AI models like to quote paragraphs that give a clear, self-contained answer to a question. So we put a short "In short" summary at the top of every important page, write definitions plainly and back claims with sources.

  • A 40–60 word summary answer on every page
  • Question-style headings and FAQ blocks
  • Dates, sources and author information

Structure

A site machines understand too

Schema.org, llms.txt, clean HTML

We describe who you are consistently on every page with structured data — Organization, Service, FAQPage, Article, BreadcrumbList. Clean HTML that doesn't depend on JavaScript lets AI crawlers read the full content.

  • A JSON-LD knowledge graph on every page
  • llms.txt and llms-full.txt files
  • Server-rendered, fast HTML

Frequently asked questions

What is GEO?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is optimisation work that aims to have your content used as a source — and your brand described accurately — in generative AI answers such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI overviews.

Is GEO replacing SEO?

No, it builds on it. AI systems are largely fed by well-crawled, trustworthy, well-structured web pages. Without solid SEO foundations, GEO work stays weak.

What is llms.txt, and does it actually help?

llms.txt is a proposed standard that summarises who you are and your most important pages for AI models in plain text. Not every system officially uses it yet, but it's easy to add, does no harm and helps keep your content organised.

Can you guarantee I'll appear in AI answers?

No — nobody can guarantee which sources AI models choose. What we can guarantee is that your site is built to be easy for these systems to read, understand and trust. We track progress with regular tests against your target questions.
