A brand identity is far more than a logo.

A brand identity is far more than a logo.

Most companies think a brand identity is a logo file. But the logo is only the most visible part of the system. The real work is setting the rules that keep colour, typeface, photography direction and tone of voice the same everywhere.

We build the whole set from zero: starting with strategy and positioning, continuing through the logo and its variations, and finishing with a brand guide and source files. Because the team that designs the identity also codes your website, the design never stays on paper — it gets applied to the working product.

In short

Mallow Studio builds brand identities from zero: strategy and positioning, naming and tone, logo and variations, colour palette, typography system, icon and graphic language, photography direction, motion language, print and digital applications, and a brand guide. All source files are handed to the client.

  • Starts with strategy and positioning
  • Logo, colour, type and graphics as one system
  • Motion language and ad film included
  • Brand guide and source files are yours

System

Not one logo, a working set

The right version for each context

One file can't look right on a business card, on signage, as an app icon and as a social avatar. We define a separate lockup and a minimum size for each use.

  • Horizontal, vertical and symbol-only lockups
  • Single-colour and negative versions
  • Minimum size and clear-space rules

In the product, not on paper

Where identity is tested

An identity is only proven once it meets real screens and real print. So we test every palette and typeface on web pages, social posts and printed material before handover.

  • Web interface and social templates
  • Print and packaging trials
  • Motion trial in the ad film

Frequently asked questions

Can we order just a logo?

You can, but we don't recommend it: on its own a logo falls apart in first use because there's no colour and type system behind it. If budget is tight we suggest a core set of strategy, logo, colour and typography.

Can we keep our current logo?

Yes, it's a common request. We keep your logo and build the colour, typography, icon and application system around it, fixing it only technically where needed.

How long does a brand identity take?

A core set usually takes a few weeks; comprehensive work covering all print and digital applications takes a few months.

Do we own the source files?

Yes. Vector logo files, colour profiles and editable templates are handed to you once the project is paid for.
